Ignorance is the Veep.
You know something? I don't get why when people make a comment about another person that makes more money than they do, they are suddenly considered a "classist" by Sar Palin and her franns? Especially when they are of similar cultures and backgrounds.
Why does Palin and her cronies think that being intelligent is such a bad thing? They continue on with their "elite bashing" as if they are proud to be ignorant. Since WHEN does this become a GOOD thing for the next Veep nominee? I do not think that I received that memo. Not everyone that is well informed is considered "elite." So the double standard being that no one can be proud of their intelligence but very proud of ignorance.
Me thinks that Sar is just a bit jealous of when the statement was made about Obama when Colin Powell was being interviewed was how he admired his intellect. Then she and her crones feel the need to bash everyone that makes one little comment about her oblivious thoughts and actions. Just like McCain feeling the need to do the "Neener neener neener, I have the support of Kissinger, Haig, Eagleburger, and Shultz. So it doesn't surprise me that Powell is supporting Obama blah blah blah." Ugh.
This gives a new meaning to ignorance is bliss. Bliss is the Veep.

The Biden/Palin debate. I guess.
I honestly wasn't surprised with Palin. After all, she is famous for her inability to answer questions given to her, speak truths to their entirety, and the main part..her superficiality. Every single time she made her "point" she made a nervous face. As if she really wasn't "sure" of herself.
However, for someone that has nothing of substance to say, I shouldn't be surprised. She also claims herself to be a middle class family yet her income is over a quarter of a million. I suppose her cutesy poses and superficial "style" will win the hearts of voters. If she were a bag hag, this wouldn't be going on. She wouldn't be the "hot chick" anymore. No one would pay her any attention. Way to go!
Remember she doesn't and can't answer what the role of a Veep is.
After all, that is what really matters, isn't it? /sarcasminserted

McCain "knew" what he was doing.
He knew what he was doing by choosing Palin to be his running mate.
He knew there would be those neoconservative women out there that will run and vote for her only because it will "mark history" since ALL women are the same and all.
He knew that her lies, distortions, manipulations, appeals, yadda yadda and so on would greatly affect the women of this country. Since ALL women are the same.
He knew that by choosing Palin, it would "erase" all of the past. The past being his stereotypical behavior towards women. Applauding (he AND Palin) the lobbyists in the capitalist economy. That said economy being abused by charlatans and greedy corporations full of epic fail.
HOWEVER. By choosing this random woman off the buffet platter, that makes all women run to his "side" a.k.a. the Bushian policy side, since ALL women are the same and all.
He knew that his fictitious tough guy talk would grab at the heartstrings of some women. His ONCE again (pattern here people) Bushian policy siding. Since ALL women are the same and fall for the same stupid bullshittery.

So, who is this Palin?
I still can't figure out who this person is. As I was listening to her speech, I was trying to figure out the phenomena. Who is she? Why her?
She spent more time comparing herself to Obama. She spent some time being a comedian. Hence the "pitbull/hockey mom/lipstick" humor. Of course there were the family shots and what-not. I am sure that looked pleasant to the Republicans. Yes, she gives as in presents a great speech. No, it wasn't anything new, issue wise. Just average run of the mill. I prefer to hear about the concerns our nation has. Any of them would have been nice.

No need to involve the kid, yo.
I agree with Obama. Even though I am a staunch liberal, just leave Bristol out of it FFS. Even if the said pregnancy was a fake (Momma Palin and that stuff) just leave the kid out of this. I can't believe that every where I click I see:
TEENAGE DAUGHTER OF VP NOMINEE SARAH PALIN -- PREGNANT!!!!!
or
TEEN AND PREGNANT : BRISTOL PALIN
STFU already!! Sheesh.
My friends and I on Cynical Gabber were JUST discussing all of the different views on this subject. Some of us pointed out the Obama news flash on leaving the kids out of it.
Amen to that.
